How to Wear The Uniform

All Troop 52 Scouts--In April of this year, the JLC wanted to adopt a Troop 52 Participation and Uniform Code. As of Sept. 1, 2007, we as adult leaders actually reduced the original requirements to the attached Troop 52 Participation and Uniform code.
As one of our youth put it, "my coach won't let me play in the game if I missed too many practices and he definitely won't let me play in the game if I don't wear my uniform, why can't we wear our scout uniforms to troop meetings". "Hey, some scout troops require Class A uniforms for all troop meetings".
Here is a statement from Scouting:

The Scout uniformp emhasizes unity while diminishing the importance of a person's financial, social, and ethnic background. Additionally, it is an instantly recognized backdrop for clearly showing each individual's scouting accomplishments. Remember we wear the uniform to associate ourselves with the principles to which we are committed - character development, citizenship training, and physical and mental fitness. The uniform is not intended to hide our individuality, but it is a way we give each other strength and support.

Troop 52 Attendance Scouts must attend over 50% of the Troop Meetings and one camping trip in a six month period. Download the PDF file for more information.
